Sartaj says no understanding reached with Afghanistan over border management

ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan was constructing the border gate at Torkham within its territorial limits, ARY News reported.
He made the disclosures during a briefing session at the National Assembly.  He said that there was already a check post at Torkam border, and a gate was present at the location since 2004.
Aziz  vowed that they will continue the construction work at the border gate despite the volatile situation and the hostility shown by Afghanistan.
Aziz said that they had informed the Afghan authorities over the construction of the gate and that Pakistan has not violated any bilateral agreement between the two countries.

Aziz said that border management was important for both countries and there will be no compromise on it.
